Basra Shatt-Al Arap Restoran

The Shatt al-Arab (Ervend Rd) river, which is where the Euphrates and Tigris rivers meet before flowing into the sea from the Basra Gulf, is where the restaurant gets its name. One of the focal points emphasized in the concept project of the structure we worked on was a modern design approach that respects traditional architecture.

In the project, where the architectural forms seen in the local buildings are reinterpreted with today’s technology and materials, emphasis was placed on mass movements and planning that will hide the negative perception of the viaduct/bridge adjacent to the land as much as possible but will allow the restaurant customers to benefit from the river view to the maximum.
